Short Story & Poetry Competition

Red Hook Films® will select a Short Story and a Poem!!!

We are looking for short stories and poems from 2 to 5 pages in length.

Select pieces will get turned into short films.

There is No Submission Fee.

SUBMISSION GUIDLINES

1)The short story submitted must be Writer’s own original work, no adaptions, translations, or interpretations, and no submitting for someone else.
2)Please, submit your Short Story or Poem in pdf form. It must be in English and should be at least 2 and no longer than 5 pages in length, single spaced and using a size 12 courier font.
3)Writer must be at least 18 years of age to submit.
4)Writer understands that Red Hook Films® receives both a large number of submissions as well as ideas, stories and scripts that can be very similar in nature, and agrees to hold harmless Red Hook Films®, its officers and employees for producing such material.
5)Only Short Stories and Poems of 2-5 pages in length will be looked at.
6)Reviewing your manuscript does not imply that Red Hook Films® agrees to compensate you.
7)If your short story or poem is selected, there will be a $50 (fifty us dollars) fee awarded to writer of the selected story, Red Hook Films® will create a screenplay adaptation of the piece and put it into production.
8)Writers of selected material will receive 25% of distribution income of the final short film.
